On the bluff overlooking Kapalua Bay on the beautiful island of Maui is a fabulous ocean view restaurant which is perfect for your Maui Wedding Day. Venny and Erik bought out the deck and staged a gorgeous wedding ceremony on a high blue Sunday with about 50 of their closest friends and relatives. Marry Me Maui was there to coordinate this event with live music and one of our Hawaiian officiants. The Maui wedding photography was of course provided by our in-house photographer Joe D'Alessandro and the food was wonderful. We always get questions from our clients as to whether to do a beach wedding or to rent a venue. We usually suggest a semi private venue for 25 or more people. This way, you can have chairs and arches, which are not allowed on public beaches, and your guests don't have to worry about parking and people laying on the beach. Semi Private venues, like the one Venny and Erik used, are reasonably priced and the views and service are spectacular.

Eye contact. That's our tip for couples today. Nothing is more important than eye contact for those memorable wedding photos. Most of our Maui Wedding ceremonie s last about 15 minutes; short and sweet. 15 or 20 minutes for your photographer to capture something that happens once in your lifetime. Not to put too much pressure on the wedding couple, but the beauty of your Maui wedding images depend not only on the professionalism of your photographer, but also by your facial expressions, relaxed attitude and eye contact with each other and the camera. During the ceremony, your attention should be on the person you are marrying. Looking into each others eyes during the vows, lei ceremony and ring exchange not only creates incredible images but also bonds the two of you during what is a very intimate moment.
"What do we do in case of rain?" is something we hear very often. Marry Me Maui does about 200 weddings per year. Most of them are beach weddings at various locations around the island. We try to keep the locations near our clients' accommodations but sometimes that's not possible because either the beach is not suitable for a wedding, there's no parking or the beach might be off limits by law (Kaanapali Beach). We are required to pull permits from the state for every beach wedding and they allow us 2 locations. This is usually sufficient to avoid a rain-out in cases of inclement weather. Kapalua Bay Maui is home to 10 of the 13 "life zones" on planet earth and also host various micro-climates. The weather in Kapalua can be vastly different than the weather in Lahaina only 7 miles away. Indeed, we have seen rain at DT Fleming and none at Kapalua Bay less than 1 mile away.
