Weddings in Maui, Pre Wedding Photography

Image
There's more opportunity for some great photos on your wedding day if you add a little extra time to your Maui wedding package and have some pre wedding shots done in the hotel room. Usually we photograph just the bride along with her entourage, getting ready, zipping up the dress, doing a little touch up on the hair and makeup and basically clowning around. These moments are great to have as a memory of those last moments of being single! Laura and Wes decided to add the time to their wedding package and also booked a semi private lawn area overlooking Kapalua for the ceremony. We had a great time and produced some killer images! Destination Weddings in Maui

June brides are a fortunate bunch. June brides in Maui even more so. The weather in June here in paradise is perfect for a late afternoon ceremony either on the beach or at one of our world class private or semi-private wedding venues. Maui has 2 resort areas with accommodations  that range from hostels to 5 star hotels. The wedding professionals at Marry me Maui can direct you to the best beaches or venues whether you're staying at the Ritz in Kapalua or the 4 Seasons in Wailea. You don't have to rent the grounds at your hotel, you can buy out a restaurant, hang loose on the beach or rent a private oceanfront estate for the day. We can certainly work within your budget and give you insights as to the best restaurants to fete your friends and family after the ceremony. So, back to June. We had the good fortune to plan and photograph many weddings this past season and wanted to share a few photos from Amanda and Bobby's wedding along with a peak at Mindy's bouquet...

Semi Private Maui Venues

Image
Penny and Alan chose Gannon's in Wailea for their wedding ceremony. The lawn offers a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean and the island of Kahoolawe. Marry Me Maui Wedding Planners along with Maui Wedding Photographer Joe D'Alessandro provided their services to help make this a spectacular Maui Wedding. With the beach just across the road, we were able to take the couple down for a sunset beach session after the ceremony and family pictures. We offer reasonably priced Maui Wedding Packages for couples, vow renewals or civil unions. We can mix and match our services to meet you needs. A Maui Wedding can be more affordable than staying home as you can mix the ceremony with the honeymoon. Thanks again to Penny and Alan for making the trip from Canada and allowing us to be part of their day. 1-808-242-1100

Makena Cove Wedding on Maui

Image
Michelle and Ed chose Makena Cove (Secret Cove) for their Maui Wedding Ceremony . While no longer secret, Makena Cove is extraordinarily beautiful, the quintessential Maui beach with lush vegetation, palm trees and lava rock outcroppings and cliffs. With its westerly facing shoreline and the island of Kahoolawe across the channel, this location is the perfect spot to enjoy one of Maui's legendary sunsets. Marry Me Maui can book your wedding ceremony on Makena Cove however we do have some precautionary tales for our wedding couples that we like to share. First off, the beach is very small, we like to say it's cozy but this is not an ideal spot for large groups. While there are no official limits on how many people we can bring down to the Cove, we try to keep it at 5 and under. This beach is also subject to surges and high tides and may disappear without warning. Parking is also very limited here so no matter how many people you bring, car pooling is a must. While we ...

Planning your Maui wedding

Image
There's plenty of Maui Wedding Planners. We offer different levels of service, pricing and amenities. The best place for a prospective couple to start is with a budget. Beach weddings are the least expensive type of wedding to have on Maui and there are many beaches to choose from. While Maui wedding planners are prohibited from using Kaanapali beach for ceremonies, there are many other locations that are just as beautiful and less crowded. We can never tell on any given day how crowded a beach will be but you can use some guidelines to help determine that. Weekends and holidays on Maui like any other place, are always busier so we try to schedule weekday weddings for the beach. The hour before sunset is also a good time to schedule a Maui beach wedding as most folks are getting ready to go back to their hotels for dinner at that time and beaches tend to clear out. We also try to book the ceremony on the larger beaches so that we have room to move since it is illegal to ask beach...

Civil Unions in Maui

Image
Spring is almost here and love is in the air. Kira and Katy held their Civil Union on a lawn in Makena overlooking the Pacific Ocean with 20 of their closest friends and family.  The Reverend Diana George officiated the ceremony with soulfulness for this beautiful couple while our good friend and current touring member of HAPA, Tarvin Makia, serenaded us all with his sweet renditions of contemporary Hawaiian music and original compositions. On a warm afternoon in Maui with a gentle breeze blowing, live music is the perfect accompaniment for your civil union or Maui Wedding Ceremony . Joe D'Alessandro and Marry Me Maui Wedding Planners have been offering Maui Civil Union Ceremonies since the state of Hawaii legalized them last year. We are proud to offer these services to our clients and the locations, services, vendors and photography available through our company are peerless. For a free consultation or just to talk story, we can be reached at ...

Maui Wedding Planners and Maui Photography

Image
On the bluff overlooking Kapalua Bay on the beautiful island of Maui is a fabulous ocean view restaurant which is perfect for your Maui Wedding Day. Venny and Erik bought out the deck and staged a gorgeous wedding ceremony on a high blue Sunday with about 50 of their closest friends and relatives. Marry Me Maui was there to coordinate this event with live music and one of our Hawaiian officiants. The Maui wedding photography was of course provided by our in-house photographer Joe D'Alessandro and the food was wonderful. We always get questions from our clients as to whether to do a beach wedding or to rent a venue. We usually suggest a semi private venue for 25 or more people. This way, you can have chairs and arches, which are not allowed on public beaches, and your guests don't have to worry about parking and people laying on the beach. Semi Private venues, like the one Venny and Erik used, are reasonably priced and the views and service are spectacular. When you need ...
