Sara & Shannon, Kapalua Bay
Wedding packages run the gamut, from expensive 5 star resorts to the basic vows on the beach, Maui offers something for everyone. Marry Me Maui Wedding Planners offers reasonably priced full service wedding packages that include custom bouquets and professional photography all at locations like this:
Rev. Diana George
Our ministers have been on island for years and have officiated wedding ceremonies for hundreds of couples. Sara and Shannon came all the way from down under to get a taste of the fine locations a Maui ceremony offers here at Kapalua Bay. Rev. Diana George performed our ceremony while Maui Wedding Photographer Joe D'Alessandro photographed the couple and provided them with high res. imagery and full reproduction rights.
Love in the Afternoon
There are numerous beaches on Maui available for your beach wedding. We certainly know all of them and will steer you in the proper direction regarding the number of guests you have, the type of topography you like, which side of the island you are staying on and the time of day you choos for your wedding. We always recommend either 8 or 8:30AM or the hour or hour and a half before sunset. If you're staying on the westside; Lahaina / Kaanapali / Kapalua, we always recommend Kapalua Bay.
Spectacular Maui Sunset

Eye contact. That's our tip for couples today. Nothing is more important than eye contact for those memorable wedding photos. Most of our Maui Wedding ceremonies last about 15 minutes; short and sweet. 15 or 20 minutes for your photographer to capture something that happens once in your lifetime. Not to put too much pressure on the wedding couple, but the beauty of your Maui wedding images depend not only on the professionalism of your photographer, but also by your facial expressions, relaxed attitude and eye contact with each other and the camera. During the ceremony, your attention should be on the person you are marrying. Looking into each others eyes during the vows, lei ceremony and ring exchange not only creates incredible images but also bonds the two of you during what is a very intimate moment.
Our clients almost always ask us what is the perfect time of day for their Maui Wedding. There's no right or wrong answer to this question rather there's only your plans for the day and what kind of imagery you want to see from your Maui Wedding Photographer. The late afternoon, usually 1 hour before sunset, is our most popular time for our Maui Wedding celebrations. The light tends to soften, the temperatures cool a bit and the beach goers leave for their hotels and dinner. Of course, there's also that famous Maui sunset which is spectacular most of the time.
Even on Maui the sunset is not guaranteed but it's a good bet you'll get some shots like the ones above when you schedule your Maui wedding for the late afternoon. One of the most common scheduling conflicts is the Luau. Most luau's begin around 4 or 5 pm so our luau clients want a ceremony at 3. Not a great idea, especially in the summer when mid afternoon temperatures can reach 92 to 94. The sand is ho…
